When did your professional life with Sofica start?
I have started in January 2009.
How did Sofica win you over?
Sofica won me over with the nice working environment, smiling people, performance evaluation system and flexible working hours.
How did your career with the company develop so far?
Initially I started as a contact center operator. Later when I graduated with a Bachelor degree from Sofia University I wanted to do something different and I got the opportunity to be transferred to work on the HP Account as Delivery Coordinator. I would like to thank my line manager and the HR Department who identified my desire and motivation and gave me the chance to prove myself on a different role.
Which is your biggest success in Sofica so far?
The meaning of “SUCCESS” differs from person to person. For me my success in Sofica is the fact that somebody is pleased with my work; I made a frowned person smile; I persuaded a pessimist to believe in good things happening to him; I made a hard thing easy; the impossible – possible. Every success in Sofica is a big success for me.
Which is the most valuable thing you have learned?
I’ve learned a lot but may be the most valuable skill that I developed is to be cautious about the things I say and refrain from useless comments. My experience in the contact center turned me into an active listener and better communicator.
In your opinion what makes Sofica a good work place?
My colleagues who make my work environment pleasant. Also the performance evaluation system which helps you understand which are your strengths and weaknesses. Besides this Sofica allows each person who wants to share their interests and hobbies with a wider audience to do so via the internal newsletter SIZZLE. Another opportunity to get your ideas heard and even implemented is Evrika program. I can’t miss to mention another initiative “ I win, you win… we win in Sofica” which provides Sofica employees with the opportunity to purchase services and products with discount from a number of companies. All of these and many other aspects and initiatives turn Sofica into a good place to work.
What is your message to your future colleagues?
Be positive and believe in your dreams, appreciate every moment in your life – good or bad – (try, however, to remember only the good ones). Don’t stop striving for more but even when you don’t fully achieve it, be able to appreciate what you have. Don’t stop smiling and try to do the world a better place.
