When did your professional life with Sofica start?
I am a Sofica employee since January 2008.
How did Sofica win you over?
I was initially impressed by the flexible working hours and the company’s location (Business Park Sofia). Later on I was also impressed by the communication flow at the work place, Sofica’s integrity as an employer, the team and the open and friendly attitude of my direct supervisors.
How did your career with the company develop so far?
For two years with the company I had quite a few things happen to me – I significantly enriched my work experience by working on an account for one of the leading Bulgarian based companies, participated in a variety of trainings as part of Academy Sofica program, had fun on several occasions on company parties and organized team building events. I also had the opportunity to be a part of an HR internship program and currently I am part of the team working on the internal Sofica newsletter named Sizzle.
Which is your biggest success in Sofica so far?
Without a doubt that would be my internship with Human Resources. During that time I learned numerous new and interesting things and gained incite to a subject, with which I was not familiar in depth with. In the course of my internship I learned things that no book can prepare you for. I was mentored by young and qualified professionals, who loved what they do and seemed to enjoy doing it. They showed me that the work of the HR representative has many layers and is a responsible one. HR is a department where you not only work with people but also for people. One of the main responsibilities of a HR representative is not only recruiting the ideal candidate, but also to motivate people, understand and solve their problems as well as showing everyone how special each of them is to Sofica.
The internship in the HR department helped me choose a career path for my future.
Which is the most valuable thing you have learned?
Sofica taught me to be more responsible and demand more of myself. Being a Sofica employee I am also a representative of the company in front of our clients and also represent our clients' informant of their customers. Knowing that some of the major Bulgarian companies have trusted us makes me aim for higher professionalism and to make a continuous effort to improve my work. This makes my job rewarding for me as well as for Sofica. In the end what is more important than knowing that you have contributed to the success of the company you work for.
In your opinion what makes Sofica a good work place?
The opportunities for professional growth, the company has. With the initiatives Sofica undertakes everyone can improve themselves and develop their qualifications.
